It's been 30 years plus, since the wave of Native activism swept across this country.
From the occupation of Alcatraz and the occupation of the BIA
building
in Washington, DC, to the occupation of Wounded Knee.

First Report:

about the truth of what happened there and it's impact on them.

Caught in the middle, residents got flak
from both sides, the American Indian Movement
and the
government forces. Not only was their community occupied
by men with guns,
many residents were also forced out of
their homes and community
into a life of further hardship.
